I have the gm seat covers, and also a car seat pad under it so it doesnt wear anything out

I did that mod.. twice... I recommend taking it out and cleaning under it often. You won't believe what gets stuck under those things.

Thanks guys! Yup, it's our first -- I put a seat saver down so hopefully that will spare the leather. My wife's Santa Fe will be the primary baby mobile, so I'll just have the carseat base in the truck most of the time.

 

And of course, we got the black carseat to match the truck...

See we think of these things most people dont. The pic of mine came out very blue with the flash it is more gray and matches perfect in my opinion. We had a gray one that came with a stroller on our registry, well they were out of them so my mom bought us the tan and green one. I was like it doesnt match, they gave me hell about not liking it. Well my wife liked the color so we kept it. That one goes in her Tahoe.

 

How old is yours? Ours is 2 months old, already 14lbs and 26" tall. He is in 6-9 month clothes and already outgrowing them (in the arms). I have already taken 2 large bins of clothes up to the attic.

I miss the days of the carrier/base car seat. My son is 16 months old, so I now have a full-blown car seat. It's much more intrusive than just having the base in there.

 

I did buy a sporty-looking Recaro seat, though...it doesn't look too bad. I mounted it in the passenger-outboard position with LATCH/tether, but I had to remove the headrest for proper positioning. I need to look into a seat cover or pad because, like others have said, the kiddo leaves quite a debris field in his wake!

LOL... Mine is -1 month old... Wifey is due near the end of February... Just prepping for the big day and all
